Activities
Staying active—through sports, clubs, or just being outside—keeps me grounded, motivated, and connected to the things I care about most.

Varsity Cheerleading Captain

Cheer has been one of the best parts of high school. I started as an underclassman liaison, then became Junior Captain, and now I’m Senior Captain of our varsity squad. We cheer at games, lead assemblies, compete at State, and train year-round—including summer camp. It’s taught me how to lead, support my team, and show up with pride—on and off the sidelines.
DECA State Finalist (2 years)

I took Marketing my sophomore year and loved competing in DECA with my twin sister—we even made it to State! The experience taught me how to present with confidence, think strategically, and work as a team. Getting to do it all with my sister made it even more memorable.
Grad Ad Coordinator (Yearbook)

I have been a part of the Yearbook team at my High school for four years working on all the spreads and collaborating with editors and designers to meet deadlines. I am a Grad-Ad Editor who is in charge of coordinating all the senior ads, emailing with parents and making the money that allows the yearbook to continue. As a Grad-Ad editor, I have worked and netted $36,000 for the Mercer Island Yearbook in one year.
Sparkle Cheerleading Captain

As Sparkle Cheer Captain, I helped lead an inclusive team of varsity cheerleaders and students with disabilities. Over the past four years, we’ve cheered together at games, built strong connections, and supported each other on and off the field. This role taught me so much about inclusion, leadership, and the joy that comes from lifting others up. It’s been one of the most meaningful parts of my cheer experience.
Water Sports & Hiking

Growing up on an island in the Pacific Northwest means the lake is basically my backyard. When the weather’s nice, I’m usually out on Lake Washington wake surfing, paddle boarding, or just hanging with friends. I also love hiking to waterfalls and glacier lakes in the nearby mountains.
Skiing

I’ve been skiing since I was three, and some of my favorite memories are from family ski trips. I’ve been lucky to grow up skiing every year in Sun Valley, Idaho, and we've also taken amazing trips to Deer Valley, Jackson Hole, and Big Sky. I even did our school’s “ski bus” program, which meant I got to ski every Saturday each winter with my friends. Skiing is one of my favorite things because it makes me feel free, and there’s nothing better than fresh powder, being outside, and time with people I love.
