COPE Jr. Health Scholar - Swedish Hospital

Through the COPE Junior Health Scholar Program at Swedish Hospital, I completed over 90+ hours of shadowing and volunteer service, gaining valuable exposure to the clinical environment and insight into healthcare careers. I developed skills in patient comfort care, professional communication, and healthcare teamwork by assisting patients and collaborating with staff in various hospital settings.

Peru - Mobile Medical Clinics

I also volunteered in Peru, where I worked alongside local medical professionals to support traveling clinics that provide free, quality care to remote Andean communities without regular access to healthcare. This experience deepened my understanding of public health as a basic human need and taught me how health disparities impact communities.

Harborview Medical Center Volunteer

As a Senior, I am dedicating every Saturday to volunteering in the Ambulatory Procedures Area and Infusion Center. In this role, I support nurses in patient care, assist patients with discharge, cleanup medical stations and help patients with their needs. This ongoing experience gives me the opportunity to interact directly with patients and medical staff, deepening my understanding of healthcare while developing empathy and communication skills.

Red Cross Club President

I have led the Red Cross Club as a President for 3 years of High School educating on disaster relief, promoting the blood drives and making cards for veterans and kids in oncology units during the holidays. The club now has 20+ members (grown from 10 originally). We work together to educate on real world issues in healthcare and support our community and first responders.
